Preschool book, File Folder Games

So I have been doing lots of preschool fun things for my three.5 year old, Ella. She loves it! Thanks to all the awesome links from Pinterest, I was able to print most of this stuff for free. It's so nice when people share the stuff they make. I thought I would share what I have been doing...

So, first... I got me a few supplies:
A free throw-away file box

To file all the preschool pages by type and file folder games I made.

Here are the file folder games I have made so far: I went through a lot... and I tried to pick the ones I thought would be the best for learning with different degrees of difficulty.

And this is one of my own making: a Paper Doll dress-up kit. This isn't so much a learning game, but it's fun and takes her a long time to go through all the outfit choices. I think I will add more outfits as time goes by. I just used my Cricut with my Everyday Paper Doll and Paper Doll Dress-up cartridges.

And I also made a preschool book for Ella to practice her numbers, letters, and a few other fun things:

So, my friend, Gena, has been talking about these envelope templates for quite some time. She uses old calendars and makes card sets out of them. Cool. Well, I decided to try my hand and snag an envelope template. I love it. I have gone a little crazy making cards over the past few months.

I made a whole bunch of these for my mother-in-law. They were so fun, I made a whole bunch for me! So easy and giftable.

Some of the thinner papers I covered with a contact paper. Not sure how I feel about it, but it does give it some more thickness. Double-sided papers are fun with these!

EASY covered clothespins.Choose paper. Cut paper. Mod podge paper. Ta-da.

Stamped... I have a few different fonts, but only had these two lying around. I made these for chips, snacks, veggies, flour, sugar, etc. Perfect, cheap bag closures. I got two sets of stamps at Ben Franklin for $2.00 each.

These can also be turned into magnets easy peasy. Then you only have to cover one side too. Fun for kids artwork, bills. etc.

No two are alike. The invitation part didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped, but I think it will do.
So, you wanna know what I learned from this? THEY WERE AWFUL! to send. And the little pieces of paper all came off because I only used a glue stick. Bah. Fun, but not well thought out. Maybe next time.

I know. I know. It has been six.5 months since I went on Maternity leave. And I was prepared to come back a few times, but it. has. been. CRAZY. I think I have the right to go on such a long leave of absence because 1. I did actually have a baby.
2. I found out one month later that we were moving in three weeks.
3. We moved... a few states away.
4. My new little sweetheart was a tad colicky to say the least, which proved getting anything done, let alone papercrafting, a trite difficult.

So thus, the long absence. But we are up and running again.

And now. To get the ball rolling, I just got a bunch of Halloween paper already being created into beautiful cards and creations just for you. Keep watching for updates with photos soon.

Here are some photos of the advent calendars... these are fun little things that you make yourself using any magnetic muffin tin. What you are buying is 12 or 24 paper cut circles with numbers (12 work great for the 12 days following Christmas). All you do is put up your tin (on an easel for example) and fill the muffin tins with treats. Each day, you take off the according number and you get the treat underneath. These circles are 3.5" in diameter, but I can do any size you request. You also can pick your papers. You can choose one, two, or four papers from my holiday collection.

So I had some objections when I quit selling bows. So, I may be able to work it again, but it will take some time to figure it all out. I know, you're thinking, this is the big surprise? Sorry if you were expecting something a little different, but I think it's rather exciting. So, I am going to be selling hairbows, headbands, and homemade cards for all occasions under the name Frills, because stuff like this is just Frills, fun and desired although not essential. I know a lot of my friends out there already make hairbows &/or sell them, so call me a copycat if you'd like. We'll also see what will come in the future. My very talented sister is helping me too, so we'll see what new ideas we have up our sleeves. Feel free to share with friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, or simply enjoy yourself.

I am starting small, and hope to expand as needed. Please share any ideas you have with me about what you may like, or what has worked for you in business. Thanks!

Handmade Hairbows

*All hairbows are homemade with a variety of ribbon, including organza, satin, and grosgrain.
*They are all attached securely to a covered alligator clip.
*These alligator clips can go onto a stretchy headband or directly into a child's hair (if you're so lucky to have a child with hair).
*I am currently working on making headbands (they will follow soon!)

Handmade Greeting Cards & Invitations

I have various designs and occasions for cards. Many are premade, but similar styles and colors can be requested for certain occasions. All cards are blank inside, come with white coordinating envelopes, and are 4" x 5 1/2". I can also make 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" at your request. (Those would be great for Christmas cards).

Card services include:
*pre-made sets: quantities of 5, 10, 15, or 20 (see side bar for more information)

*custom made option: you pick colors, design, occasion, and/or embellishment (some embellishments may cost extra)

*shipping of your choice

Invitation services include:

*Custom made for each shower or party.

*Please include the shower or party details. (We must receive orders at least three weeks before shower or party date).

*We'll even send them for you for only 50 cents an invitation if you send us the names and addresses.
